Did You Know?
Did you know that President Obama will sign into action HR1: The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (stimulus bill) today?
Did you know that we (the citizens) were promised we would have 5 days to read any final legislation that was proposed so we could contact our representatives and voice our opinion?
Did you know we only had the weekend and the details of the Bill are not even posted now?
Did you know that congress promised us (the citizens) at least 48 hours to review the final version of any proposed Bill?
Did you know that it was posted at 9 PM last Thursday night and voted on first thing the following Friday morning and is over 1,100 pages?
Did you know that not one of our elected representatives could have possibly read the entire revised Bill before voting for it Friday morning?
Did you know that they have to swear under oath that they have read any Bill entirely that they are voting on?
Did you know that anything could have been slipped in under the radar?
Did you know that this single Bill will change the face of America as we know it more than almost any other one in our history?
Did you know that this Bill had to be signed in as soon as possible because America is in a state of financial “emergency”?
Did you know that the Bill was passed on Friday but the President took the long weekend off before dealing with this “emergency” today?
Did you know that my family has been sharing the same computer for the last five years and has put more thought and planning into the second computer we need to buy sometime soon but can’t afford?
Did you know our first President, George Washington, once said:
“Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.”

Boy…you guys are bringing some heat.
Specter may be the only one who pays for his vote. I think Snowe and Collins are safe enough in liberal Maine to be re-elected. The sad thing is, I think more republicans would have voted for the bill if only their pork had been included too! I don’t think that all of them voted “no” on principle, but because their feelings were hurt.
Dear Leader Maobama broke a grand total of SEVEN campaign promises with this one bill.
Her Highness Pelosi ram-rodded this bill through the house Friday, early enough to catch her flight for an eight-day trip to Europe.
The Congressional Democrats locked the Republicans out of the bill’s conference, which was conducted in a secret, midnight meeting.
And the worst of it is, none of it would have been possible, except for the three turncoats, Snowe, Collins, and Specter.
